Mayor Hancock's 2018 State of the City Address

Mayor Michael B. Hancock delivered his 2018 State of the City Address at the Carla Madison Recreation Center. He was met with support from Governor Hickenlooper, and Former Mayor and First Lady of Denver, Wellington and Wilma Webb, as well as detractors in the form of protestors out in front of the recreation center.

Colorado Driver License fee to increase July 1, 2018

The fee increase is intended to offset the cost of providing driver services, and is set to increase between $1 to $28 

This fee increase is the last of three written into the current law, which included a $1 price increase in the cost of driver licenses each year since 2015.

Students from Art Street (a program that uses creativity to help children break the cycle of poverty) are creating a series of billboards that will go up around the city of Denver entitled "Healing as One." Mayor Hancock unveiled the first billboard on Wednesday entitled “Better Together” at a parking lot on California and 21st in Downtown Denver, designed by 17-year-old Laura Carillo.
