It's one of the best opening lines we've ever heard: "Did you hear about the woman who rode a mountain bike across Afghanistan?"  She's Breckenridge resident Shannon Galpin.

"I went to Afghanistan in 2008 to work with women and girls, to support the voice of the women of a country that is repeatedly ranked the worst place in the world to be a woman," said Galpin, a National Geographic Adventurer of the Year, TedX Mile High presenter, activist, author and mom.
