The youngest of Philadelphia's musical Heath Brothers, drummer Albert "Tootie" Heath has shared the stage and recording studio with John Coltrane, Don Cherry, Dexter Gordon, Herbie Hancock, Freddie Hubbard, the Modern Jazz Quartet, J.J. It is the "unofficial" start of summer. City Park Jazz presents the first concert of the season with the Hazel Miller Band. Bring your friends and family, a picnic (no glass please), and a chair or blanket. Stop by the KUVO booth and say hello. Make it a summer tradition and meet us at City Park on Sunday, from 6 to 8 pm.

Ricky Rodriguez will be joining Susan Gatschet Reese today at 2:30 pm, to talk about the remarkable line up of bands that you can hear for free this summer.

Saxophonist Max Wagner joins Susan Gatschet Reese today at 3:30 p.m., to talk about the 24th annual Estes Park Jazz Festival. The Jazz Fest and Art Walk, takes place on Saturday, May 17th, and Sunday, May 18th. The headlining act Sax Appeal  features Javon Jackson, Jimmy Heath, Gary Bartz and Donald Harrison Jr., backed by the Ken Walker Trio.
