In the Studio

Live at KUVO: Henry Butler | Feb 17

Feb 16, 2016

Join us in the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio for a very special performance by Henry Butler on Wednesday, 2/17 at 3pm to 4pm.

Once you've heard what bluesman Henry Butler's hands can create on those ivories, there's no going back. Those hands boogie that keyboard like no one else's. Throw in a classically trained voice aching us through the blues, and you're someplace you have never been before and would give anything to return to, again and again.

Join us Tuesday, February 9 – 1pm to 2pm – on Take Note with host Susan Gatschet

Gumbo Le Funque will be in our performance studio to celebrate Fat Tuesday! Their muscular groove pays homage to the melting pot sounds of the Big Easy, fusing American musical roots with the energy of the 21st century. Colorado band influenced by the entire tradition of the second line and traditional jazz, Maceo Parker, Galactic, Dr. John, Professor Longhair, The Funky Meters, as well as by the power funk that oozes forth from New Orleans.
