Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio

The Azucartones will be in KUVO's Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio on Tuesday, May 8 from 7pm to 8pm with host Geoff Anderson.

Wait a second. . .there’ s a school in Colorado with an AfroCuban band? I thought music funding was being cut in schools? You would think so, but the Azucartones is a young AfroCuban band based right here in Colorado.

They are part of the Downbeat award-winning Commercial Music Program at the Kent Denver School.  They pack the dance floor playing the music of Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Willie Colon, Fania All-Stars, and others.

Join us in the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio as we welcome violinist Christian Howes and pianist Reggie Berg on Friday, March 2 at 11:15am to 12noon.

Studio Club Members: Please contact Arvida arvida@kuvo.org to reserve seats for you and a guest. If you haven't joined the Studio Club learn how here.

This Sunday, February 25 at 4 p.m., KUVO’s performance series “On Stage” features highlights from 11 CDs, all recorded at the Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio, on the premises of KUVO Radio!

Witnessing these blowout sets were members of the KUVO Studio Club – regular, ongoing donors to KUVO.  They are hip to one of the hottest, most intimate jazz spots in the Mile High City.
