It's Mardi Gras with Dave Rajewski & The Welton Street Players! The Welton Street Players is a group named after the famous street in Denver's Historic Five Points neighborhood. From the 1920's - 50's Welton Street was a thriving diverse business community with countless clubs that featured Jazz greats such as Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole and Count Basie. The Welton Street Players celebrates the music, atmosphere and excitement associated with that timeless era in Denver's Jazz history.

Billy Wallace came up in the bebop era and has been playing jazz since 1947. Billy Wallace started playing  boogie-woogie and transitioned thru the inception of the bebop era and is a master at the American Song book. Billy Wallace came up in the bebop era and has been playing jazz since 1947. He knows 5000 tunes by heart and the lyrics to 1000.

Tune in to KUVO on Tuesday - Fat Tuesday, that is - for a day's visit to New Orleans. We'll be featuring all of the music that the vibrant city is known for, all day long. From 2nd line, to ragtime, to Dixieland, to funk, to traditional jazz, you'll want to stay tuned in to KUVO!

Mardi Gras is just around the corner which means it's time for the annual R&B Jukebox New Orleans/Mardi Gras Show!

Every year on the Saturday before Fat Tuesday, the R&B Jukebox celebrates the incredible, danceable, poly-ryhthmic, good-time music that personifies the people, food, and culture that is unique to New Orleans.

Artists include Fats Domino, The Spiders, Allen Toussaint, Professor Longhair, Huey "Piano" Smith, Earl King, Paul Gayten, and Lee Allen, just to name a few.
