Celebrating the Trumpet, and an Icon

Apr 13, 2016

Thank you for participating in our Jazz Appreciation Month Listener Poll...today we celebrate the trumpet. Be sure to tune in to hear all of your favorite trumpeters, including Arturo Sandoval.

He can’t be categorized, labeled or defined. All one can say about Arturo Sandoval is that he is an icon. A music icon. A patriot, a winner of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.  His story is so inspiring that a feature film was made about him, with Andy Garcia in the title role, called “For Love of Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story.”
