Since 1987, Denver Urban Spectrum magazine has filled a void in local coverage of people of color.  That vision has inspired publisher Rosalind "Bee" Harris to keep at it for 30 years.  Harris joined "First Take with Lando and Chavis" to preview six months of events making the milestone.

"The inspiration was the lack of positive stories about people of color in the mainstream newspapers," said Harris.   "That's still our focus."  In the audio segment below, Harris also discusses the changes in the media landscape that challenge every publication.
