Connect for Health Colorado

Many Coloradans believe that they have missed the boat on healthcare for 2018. That is simply not the case.  Connect for Health Colorado has extended their registration deadline to Friday  January 12, 2018.

I had a chance recently to sit down with Connect for Health Colorado’s CEO Kevin Patterson, and Director of Communications Luke Clarke, to discuss with them why the deadline was extended, where people can register, the tax credit, and more.

With just days remaining in the open enrollment period for the state health exchange, Connect for Health Colorado has pulled out all the stops, staffing up their call center, and offering a full series of public meetings to sign up subscribers face-to-face.

On "First Take with Lando and Chavis," we did two interviews with Connect for Health Colorado staff, first with Ben Davis regarding technical aspects of the campaign, and with Linda Kanamine on the details of signing up in the final week.

Airing statewide in March on Rocky Mountain PBS and VMe, Crossroads and Encrucijada are two locally produced telenovelas that document Latino families in Colorado trying to navigate the health insurance marketplace. Crossroads explores a daughter’s struggle with the effects of chronic disease on her uninsured mother, and the financial impact on her family and her future.
