The electric music of Miles Davis is a style of music that would form almost his entire discography from 1969 until his death at age 65 in 1991.

Come to Dazzle on May 26 for a celebration of Miles Davis' Birthday as we explore music from his electric period from the 1970's all the way through his last album released in 1992.

Joining Brad Goode on trumpet will be: John Gunther - sax, Paul Mckee - trombone, Jeff Jenkins - piano, Dave Corbus – guitar, Bijoux Barbosa - bass, Paul Romaine - drums

Trumpeter Brad Goode is a unique and instantly recognizable virtuoso. Whether working as a soloist, bandleader, lead trumpet man or sideman, for 25 years he has consistently been one of the busiest performers in the United States.

We close out March-Women's History Month spotlighting three new releases that have women as leaders. The honey-toned vocalist Cassandra Wilson is back with a tribute to Billie Holiday one of several to be issued throughout 2015, the centennial of her birth. On Coming Forth by Day, Ms. Wilson decided to focus on the lyrics of Billie's most poignant songs and sing them from the heart. Since debuting in 1997, pianist Lisa Hilton continues to rise up on the scale of musicians deserving of wider recognition, her latest Horizons features Aurora's own, Rudy Royston on drums.

Join me Friday for a special edition of Lunchtime at the Oasis beginning at Noon when 2 former Clark Terry disciples and C. T.  band members, trumpeters Bob Montgomery and Brad Goode join me to share their memories about the late Clark Terry. Both Bob and Brad attended Mumbles' 94th birthday at his home in Pine Bluff, AK earlier this year and have just returned from participating in Mr. Terry's memorial services in NYC last weekend.
