Wage theft a persistent problem for low-wage workers
The issue is wage exploitation of low-wage, temporary and casual workers, and Centro Humanitario, a Denver-based advocacy group is working to defend worker's rights. Marco Nuñez, executive director of "El Centro" joined First Take with an update of their efforts.
"In the construction trades, we have a contractor who severely underbids a project," said Nuñez. "When the job is complete, the employer will only pay a portion of the wages, and in some cases, not pay anything."
Music on this feature is Eric Reed, "Yesterday" from the CD From My Heart.
