Vinyl Vault: “Grazing Dreams”

This week’s Vinyl Vault goes for that ethereal ECM sound with Collin Walcott’s 1977 album “Grazing Dreams.” The album features Don Cherry on trumpet and wood flute, John Abercombie on electric and acoustic guitars and mandolin, Palle Danielsson on bass, Dom Um Romao on percussion as well as Walcott on both sitar and tabla. The album draws on elements world  music and puts them in an improvisational context. The Vinyl Vault, Tuesday at 8:30 on KUVO.
