Rich Chiaraluce on Sax

This Sunday, November 19th, at 4 p.m., KUVO’s performance series “On Stage” features the saxophone of Rich Chiaraluce. From the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, to the Woody Herman All-Stars, to dates with Mel Torme, Tony Bennett, Nancy Wilson and more, to his work with symphonies and touring Broadway shows, Rich brings his hot alto chops to every session.

Chiaraluce has performed many times live on KUVO. The 2006 date was a quartet setting with pianist Andy Weyl, bassist Mark Diamond, and drummer Paul Romaine.  The 2014 date saluted The Adderley Brothers in quintet format (Al Hood-trumpet, Dave Hansen – piano, Ken Walker – bass, Todd Reid -drums).

Tune in for classic jazz by stellar Colorado musicians, led by Rich Chiaraluce, captured as it was broadcast from KUVO’s Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio!  That’s this Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. “On Stage,” a KUVO exclusive!
