Our next New Music Monday edition of Lunchtime at the Oasis hosted by Arturo Gómez will feature the long-awaited debut of trumpeter and vocalist, Theo Croker, the grandson of legendary jazz trumpeter Doc Cheatham, his first mentor. Theo’s CD, Afro Physicist is produced by Dee Dee Bridgewater, who encountered Croker in Shanghai, China. The veteran NYC based flute player Mark Weinstein has teamed up with Cuban Aruan Ortiz-piano and Roman Diaz on percussion along with Rashaan Carter and Gerald Cleaver, bass and drums respectively, to release a summer sizzler,  Latin Jazz Underground. We’ll also have new releases by Dena DeRose with Gary Smulyan in a homage to Shirley Horn. I Love Music has Mike LeDonne on B-3 with Eric Alexander and the violinist Zack Brock with Purple Sounds. These albums and others starting at Noon-Rocky Mountain Time.
