During the next New Music Monday edition of KUVO Jazz," I will debut the latest releases by the always soulful pianist Harold Mabern and the splendid sequel, MONK-estra Volume 2 in addition to several others, one of which, the new Matt Wilson with Denver's own Ron Miles on cornet.   Last year's pianist John Beasley debut of the MONK'estra proved so successful he has returned with Volume 2, this time out he has Denver's own multi-Grammy® winner Dianne Reeves, violinist Regina Carter, Kamasi Washington and Pedrito Martínez as invited musicians. Mr. Mabern's To Love and Be Loved includes Eric Alexander. Nat Reeves, and the legendary sole survivor of the Miles Davis Quintet, Jimmy Cobb.

Tune in or log on to New Music Monday beginning at Noon to hear the premieres of these 3 CDs along and a few others on Monday August 7.
