Join us in the Phyllis A. Greer Performance studio on Tuesday, January 23 at 6pm when violinist Anthony Salvo presents his new group, Fortunato, a virtuosic ensemble bringing the best of Gypsy, Klezmer, Indian, Latin, African and other roots traditions into a jazz setting. With over 22 years of performance in the Rocky Mountain area, local Nederland resident Anthony has brought together some of the Front Range’s top musicians. Their current repertoire includes Pat Metheny, Chick Corea, Shakti, Jean Luc Ponty as well as Anthony’s own original compositions. The music is upbeat, energized, and sometimes deep and moving. Featuring: Anthony Salvo – violin, Alexios Anest – guitar, Charles Mertins – bass and Andy Skellenger, Tabla.
