interview with Bryan Jansing and Paul Vismara

From its humble beginnings in a few basements around the U.S. two decades ago, craft brewing has become a truly worldwide phenomenon.   Two local craft brew enthusiasts turned their passion into the ultimate field trip, searching for craft brews around the wine-dominated countryside of Italy.

The result of their travels  is the book Italy Beer Country. It’s being launched in Denver this week, just before the Craft Brewers national convention visits town.  Authors Bryan Jansing and Paul Vismara visited “First Take with Lando and Chavis to describe what they discovered.

“Most of the breweries are in the north – the Piemonte and Lombardy area near Milan,” said Jansing, also an award winning author who was born in Italy.  “But Rome is the engine that’s driving the movement. That’s where the pubs are.”
