interview with Chad Reich

The Bud Light marketing campaign “Whatever” picked Crested Butte, Colorado for its “town.”  But it’s not anything goes.  Chad Reich, program director at the community radio station in Crested Butte, joined “First Take with Lando and Chavis” to talk about how the town is planning for the big party, set for the weekend of Sept. 6-7.

“Not anyone can just show up,” said Reich.  Beyond the 1000 revelers that Bud Light is bringing in, admission to any of the official party venues is limited to residents of Crested Butte and Gunnison County.  Plus, the hotels are full.

The resort community depends upon tourism, but “This weekend, the town is asking people not to come.  Come a different weekend.”

In the interview, Reich describes the “makeover” Crested Butte is getting for the big party.
