KUVO’s smooth jazz session presents its second annual music edition honoring MLK Day, “For What  It’s Worth," airing Saturday, January 16 at 8 PM MT. 

Groove Jazz Rendezvous host Adam Morgan will deliver this jazz and social justice music special inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King’s comments on jazz, written for the 1964 Berlin Jazz Festival's program guide.

This special blends the music and jazz of the civil rights and other social movements with reflections on contemporary events and developments mirroring the work of Dr. King.

Appearing in their second Nocturne Jazz & Supper Club artist-in-residency, The Tom Gershwin Quintet will play from mid January through February, Fridays from 7 to 11 PM.

Trumpeter, Wallace Roney returns to the Mount Vernon Country Club stage with his straight-ahead jazz quintet on Thursday, January 14. 

 Roney will be joined by Davis alum and drummer Lenny White, pianist Anthony Wonsey,  bassist Rashann Carter, and one of the hottest saxophonists on the scene, Benjamin Solomon.
