Ways to Give to the Flo Legacy Fund: Types of Legacy Gifts

REVOCABLE GIFTS: these are the most common form of legacy gift. Donors can "revoke" the gift if charitable interests or personal circumstances change. Because donors retain their right to withdraw the gift during their lifetime, there is no tax deduction available to them.

Bequest
Retirement Benefits
Insurance Gift

IRREVOCABLE GIFTS: these gifts cannot be rescinded by the owner. Once given, these gifts are typically part of a contractual gift agreement for the donor or with the charity. Irrevocable gifts include cash, securities, and real estate that are gifted outright or transferred through an estate planning vehicle such as a charitable remainder trust. Since the donor gives up legal title or claim on the asset, an income tax deduction is provided to the donor for making this type of gift.

Why Support the Flo Legacy Fund?
For nearly 29 years, KUVO/KVJZ’s broadcast service has provided Colorado and beyond with JAZZ, BLUES and diverse programs that educate, inspire and entertain. We wish to continue this tradition of quality broadcasting for you, our listeners, members, and upcoming generations. While annual memberships, underwriting and grants are critical to KUVO’s success and provide an annual base of support for our programming, our future success depends on our ability to build a sustainable source of funding that provides for today, tomorrow, and the future as well.

A partial list includes Tab Benoit, Regina Carter, Bob Dorough, Kurt Elling, Curtis Fuller, Les McCann, New York Voices, Eddie Palmieri, Junior Mance, Dianne Reeves, Rene Marie, Hazel Miller, David Amram, Charmain Clamor, Henry Butler, Ken Walker, Sam Mayfield Band, Richie Cole, Janine Santana, Modeski, Martin and Wood, and Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra.
