Swiss tourism official and jazz fan Claude Nobs collaborated with the Ertegun brothers of Atlantic records to the produce the first Montreux Jazz Festival in 1967. Publisher Paul Acket founded the North Sea Jazz Festival in the mid-1970s with proceeds from the sale of his magazines. It was a natural step in the global advancement of jazz. KUVO Studio Club: Aaron Walker Quartet with Bjorn Thoroddsen | Apr 20

The KUVO Studio Club welcomes the Aaron Walker Quartet on Friday, April 20 at 11:15am to noon , as they perform their own Bohemian style of jazz music. The quartet comprises of Aaron Walker on lead guitar with Luke Smith on rhythm guitar, Gary Sloan on stand-up bass and Joe d'Esposito.      While Dianne Reeves spends much of the time on tour across the globe, the majestic singer rarely performs back home in Denver. On Saturday, you can catch one of those rare performances at Boettcher Hall in the Denver Performing Arts Center when Reeves hooks up with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra at 7:30 p.m.
