Frequently featuring insightful interviews with both national and local musicians, Take Note offers a richly diverse listening experience thanks to Susan's passion and deep knowledge of music.

A jazz fan since the age of 14, Susan started volunteering at KUVO in 1996 and quickly gained a spot on the airwaves. Besides hosting Take Note, Susan is a voice over artist, promoter, producer and camera operator.

Big Swing Trio

Tune in on May 5 from 2 to 3 pm MT for a live in-studio performance by the Big Swing Trio!

In order for three friends to play together for more than 30 years, there has to be something magical about their musical union. Such is the case with the Big Swing Trio.

Playing spirited arrangements of swing, Latin, hard-bop, Blues and jazz standard, The Big Swing Trio knows how to please a crowd. The group features Mark Diamond on bass, Paul Romaine on drums, and Andy Weyl on piano.

Award-winning jazz pianist Justin Kauflin will perform live during an interview on Take Note March 26 from 2:30 to 3:00 pm MT.

Justin and his constant canine companion, Candy, will be promoting Justin's CD release party on March 26 at Baur's Listening Lounge.

Gumbo le Funque - a feature on KUVO's 30th Anniversary CD: Live at the Oasis Vol. 11. - will perform live in the KUVO studio February 17 from 2-3 pm MST!

The Denver-based group is known for its melange of good time New Orleanian music, including compositions from Dr. John and the Meters. On February 17, the group will cover Mardi Gras standards as well as debut new material.
