So What: The Song, The Show, The Club

interview with DJ K-Nee
"So What" is the Miles Davis classic composition featured this week on KUVO's music education segment "Stories of Standards." It's also the name of the Friday night "acid jazz" program that has aired on KUVO for 16 years (Friday nights, midnight to 3 a.m.). DJ K-Nee visited First Take during the daylight hours to break down the concept of the show, his favorite versions of "So What," and the latest on So What The Club, on the third Saturday of the month at The Beauty Bar on Denver's Capitol Hill.  Connect with DJ K-Nee and the community on Facebook at facebook.com/sowhattheclub

(Music on this feature includes Us3, "Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia)" with the voice of emcee Pee Wee Marquette from Hand on the Torch, Eddie Jefferson's "So What" from the CD The Jazz Singer, Ast0r's "So What" from the project Kind of Bloop, and Easy Mo Bee's remix of Horace Silver's "The Sophisticated Hippie" on Blue Note's Remix Project The New Groove.)
