Last New Music Monday of Spring: Bobby Hutcherson's return to Blue Note
It's been over 35 years since Bobby Hutcherson had recorded for Blue Note-his home for 15 years in the 1960s and '70s. For his return NEA Jazz Master Mr. Hutcherson recruited David Sanborn, Joey De Francesco and Billy Hart. Enjoy the View is a fitting title for Bobby's renewed alliance with his former label. Considered the "world's greatest saxophonist", Sonny Rollins issues Road Shows-Volume 3 for the Okeh label. Another featured recording on today's New Music Monday, the last one of the Spring will be the young saxophonist Adam Schroeder who is accompanied by Anthony Wilson, John Clayton and Jeff Hamilton, his CD is titled Let's and it's for Colorado's own, Capri Records. We'll also debut the Great Voices of Harlem featuring the hottest new singer of jazz, Gregory Porter with Paul Zanner's Blue Brass ensemble, Ginger Baker's Why? and several others new arrivals.
