It's an effort to demonstrate the role of the arts in America's educational reform movement.  Actress Alfre Woodard visited Denver to be at the first day of class last week at NCAS.    Woodard sat down with KUVO to talk about their effort. Also heard on this feature is seventh-grader Maijah Evans, Program Director Kathy Fletcher, and Principal Stacy Miller.  Music on this feature from the Denver School of the Arts, recorded at KUVO's Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio in November 2005 ("Sin Palabras") and November 2006 ("Corcovado"). The 88-page report from the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities is titled "Reinvesting in Arts Education."
