Arts District: Scary!

Oct 20, 2016

You know what October means... lots of scary things are going on around town.  You can wear your costumes to a couple of productions:

When the skies opened on over northern Colorado on July 31, 1976, few anticipated this summer storm would result in the deadliest flash flood in Colorado’s recorded history. Documentarian Julie Speer visited “First Take with Lando and Chavis” with the story of that event, and the one-hour special airing on Rocky Mountain PBS on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 7pm. Mighty, elemental forces molded North America—fiery eruptions, titanic floods, the grinding of great ice sheets, and massive impacts from space all shaped our homeland.

NOVA's epic three-part series unfolds in a forgotten world that existed long before our own, crossed by long-lost mountain ranges, deserts the size of Africa, and vast inland seas spanning the length of the continent. Explore beloved landmarks like the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National Park from the inside out as we witness the clash of nature’s creative and destructive forces.

Our CEO, Doug Price, along with his wife Hazel Price will match dollar-for-dollar your pledge before 10am this morning. This is The Price is Right Challenge. Special thanks to Hazel Price! How much will they give? That's up to YOU any gift at any level will be matched. Doug and Hazel are asking for your help to support the music, news, and cultural programs on KUVO.
