Host, Take Note

A jazz fan since the age of 14, Susan Gatschet Reese started volunteering at KUVO in 1996 and quickly gained a spot on the airwaves.

Susan hosts Take Note, offering a richly diverse listening experience weekdays from 1-4 pm.

Susan is also a voice over artist, promoter, producer and camera operator. An avid photographer, Susan has shot thousands of live performances across the nation. View her photo gallery at

Deeply committed to jazz education, Susan serves on the boards of the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts and City Park Jazz.

Susan spends the weekends with her grandson Carter, enjoying the beauty of the Colorado outdoors and attending as many concerts as possible.

Vocalist Dianne Reeves and Bennie L. Williams of Spiritual Voices,  will be visiting the KUVO studio today @ 2:30, to talk to Susan Gatschet Reese about a special tribute to Dr. Vincent Harding. Harding was a civil rights leader, a longtime Denver college professor at the Iliff School of Theology and a friend of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  "My Soul is a River" will celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Harding.
