Colorado-based saxophonist Clare Church has a condition called dystonia that affects her ability to play reed instruments, but there’s a specialist and a treatment in Spain that can help, so local musicians are “Jamming for Clare.”  Jazz jam musicians are invited to play at the benefit, and jazz fans are invited to listen. This Sunday, May 4, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Photographs hold time still. At 102 years-old, Marian Busey could have walls clad with copious snapshots. Instead, the artists’ memorable moments were captured by her own hand with paint and paper.

In Indiana, where life revolves around high school basketball, what happens to a community when their beloved team can no longer win a single game? Medora follows the down-but-not-out Medora Hornets varsity basketball team over the course of the 2011 season, capturing their stories both on and off the court. Riding a brutal losing streak when the film begins, the team’s struggle to compete bears eerie resemblance to the town’s fight for survival.
