Chad Hollingsworth has been Vice President, Corporate Development, at Liberty Media Corporation since January 2012. He joined the Corporate Development group at Liberty in November 2007 as a Manager and later was promoted to Director. Chad participates in corporate development and governance work for most of the Liberty portfolio companies, with particular attention paid to Live Nation, Barnes & Noble, Charter Communications, the Liberty Digital Commerce group, TripAdvisor and QVC. He focuses on transaction and structuring opportunities within the Liberty portfolio, new M&A idea generation in the global cable, Internet, retail and entertainment sectors, valuation/modeling projects (internal and external) and strategic advisory work around international expansion efforts at the subsidiary level. In addition, Chad’s other responsibilities include venture capital investment evaluation and coordinating project allocation for the corporate development team. Prior to Liberty, Chad worked at Janus as a Health Care Research Analyst for five years and at RBC Daniels as a Telecom and Cable Banking Associate for two years. He received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University in human biology, with honors, in 1999. In 2004, Chad earned the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst. Prior to his position as vice chairman of Rocky Mountain PBS, from 2011-2013 he served as chairman of KUVO, Denver's public radio jazz station. On a personal note, Chad has played jazz saxophone since he was 10 years old, and has had the honor of playing with such greats as Cedar Walton, Louis Bellson, Bobby Hutcherson and James Moody.
