It's been six months since northern Colorado suffered epic flooding and loss. This Friday, 3/14 at 7:30pm on Rocky Mountain PBS, Colorado State of Mind looks into how the recovery is going, and whether a new infusion of federal money is having an impact. Also on the program, an update on the controversial issue of fracking – what's happening in those local communities where voters decided to put the brakes on the practice? Where is the Colorado Oil and Gas Association suing? Tune in Friday night at 7:30.

Colorado researchers are sounding a national alarm about fake pot – “syn marijuana” – and we’ll talk with an ER doc as well as health reporter Katie McCrimmon of HEALTH NEWS COLORADO. Also, reporter Kristin Jones of I-NEWS AT ROCKY MOUNTAIN PBS has learned that people with disabilities, who are also mentally ill, have virtually nowhere to go if they need emergency help.

Yes on Amendment 66

The statewide amendment in this Nov. 5, 2013 election is Amendment 66 - Funding for Public Schools. The measure increases the state income tax in Colorado, and it sets aside 43 percent of the state's budget for Pre-K through 12 public education. KUVO edited two features (pro and con) from the debate aired on "Colorado State of Mind," hosted by Cynthia Hessin on Rocky Mountain PBS.
