Dan Feinberg

Host, Thursday's Night Beat with Dan Feinberg

Dan Feinberg started volunteering at KUVO in the summer of 1988, and he's held down the Thursday evening time slot since the early '90s as host of The Night Beat with Dan Feinberg.

Born in Detroit, Dan enjoyed popular music growing up and first had his mind blown by jazz as a high school student - a long time ago! You'll hear continuous great music on Dan's show: old, new and everything in between.

Over the years, Dan has produced weekly features on Miles Davis and all his various groups and sidemen. Although he is not doing those any more, from week to week everyone from Airto to Zawinul is on Dan's playlist.

Thank YOU for listening!

Thursday's Night Beat

Jimmy Katz

Can't wait to hit at eight, sharing the music with YOU is my favorite thing to DO! On this evening's Night Beat:

Happy Birthday to Blue Mitchell, Terence Blanchard, Stephen Scott, and the ageless one, the Force of Nature himself, Roy (play-me-some-jazz-man) Haynes (right-now)! We could play 2 hours of music on every one of those cats (Hint: "Trio Music"), but instead we'll squeeze them all, and much more, into just the 2 hours. That's 8-10 Mountain DAYLIGHT Time. Don't Miss It!
