Quincy Ave. Rhythm Band Live from KUVO Tonight

From Kent Denver School

Tune in to KUVO/Geoff Anderson hosts, from the Phyllis A Greer Performance Studio, the music of Quincy Ave. Rhythm Band. Performing under the direction of Stephen Holley, the band is comprised of 18 students, including  vocalists and instrumentalists. This is sure to be a rocking hour of great tunes: you don't want to miss it!

Shout out to developers: 5 Pts. is "it"

(originally aired on 7/12/13)Ground was broken on the first residential development of the Five Points Redevelopment Plan this week. The event was just the next step in what has been a strong summer for urban development launches in Denver's urban core. (United Way broke ground at Park Ave./23rd and California St. in June.

This Saturday, January 18 at 10pm, JazzSet presents Abbey Lincoln's Songs.Always a vocalist, Lincoln (1930-2010) acted in movies, fought for Civil Rights, and – in her long, productive last chapter – wrote and recorded personal songs about life. New meanings begin to emerge as Dee Dee Bridgewater, Dianne Reeves and Cassandra Wilson sing Abbey. Musical Director Terri Lyne Carrington. 

JazzSet airs Saturdays at 10:00 PM on KUVO/KVJZ and Saturdays at 4:00 PM on News/Music KUVO HD2.
